President Nelson comes to Peru

Hey! Highlight of this week- Conference with President Nelson! He was joined by his wife, Elder Stevenson and his wife and the entire area presidency! Their powerful spirit was felt from Lima all the way doen to  stake center in Lima! One of the biggest surprises- In his final talk Elder Nelson got up, graciously dismissed the translater, and then gave a complete 20 minute talk in Spanish. That is the power and love of a living day profet! Sister Nelson gave a bold and powerful talk, testifying of the divine call of Pres. Nelson and the constant revelation we recives! Earlier in the day, in the missionary conference, she gave a beautiful talk on oppostion. She described the opposition she and Pres Nelson recieved preparing for the worldwide youth devotional- their computer dies, internet went out, messages went missing, Pres Nelson became sick and could not speak, they narowly avoided 2 car crashes, and the morning of she described -I could not move my legs, it was if 2000 evil minions were dragging and pulling against my legs.... She then described the experience overwhelming darkness and tongue binding opposition that Joseph Smith before recieving the First Vision. But it was a testimony to the importance of those works. When something will change the balance of good and evil- Stan will d all in his power to stop it. 

After last week, I was thinking to myself why it was all going so well , where was the opposition. It came in the form of many people we teach in the hospital, critical family situations, even little children lying to stop us from visiting their nanny ... But it is just an even greater testimony of the work we are doing! Missionary work is not without opposition, but OH IT IS WORTH IT. I know this is the work of the Lord and He guides Hhis church through a living day prophet!
