Vamos Peru!!
Hey! It has been one crazy week here in Peru! First of all our mission president gave us permission to watch the Peru games in the world cup. We were all questioning the date because April fools has long since passed but he was completely serious. haha So we had a fun cheering for Peru with members and investigators in the church :)
With all that excitement we also decided to do last minute divisions with the hnas near us and the next day head up to Moqegua to do the same with the hnas there. And if that wasnt exciting enough, throw in a nice ward activity for fathers day and a yesterday I had a fun trip trip the hospital. We went to pickup an investigator to go to church and my stomach started hurting... but we went to church but by the end of sunday school we were flying to the hospital. In the hours that I was hooked up to the IV I was thinking about the type of pain I had. I had no idea what it was, and there was nothing I could detect from the outisde. It reminded me of two of the investigators we are teaching. They are both 15 year old girls and each one of them told us that they felt something inside was missing. There a hole, a pain inside , and for that, each one took the initative to come to church by themselves. And it is there they found the gealing they need I have always loved the analogy of the church is a hospital, and it is there we find the healing we need.
13 O all ye that are spared be cause ye were more righteous th an they, will ye not now retur n unto me, and repent of your s ins, and be converted, that I may heal you?
14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye sh all have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever wi ll come, him will I receive; a nd blessed are those who come unto me.
There is something inside of each one of us that needs fixing or healing. And just as the only place I could recieve relief from an IV was the hospital, the only place we can recieve this medicine is during the sacrament.
I hope you all take the time to remember what the power the sacrament can have in our lives! It is truly the bread and water that fills us all! Love you all!
