TAO PO!
HOLA FROM MOLLENDO! Turns out the Elders weren't joking when they told me I would receive a new companion from the Phillipines and finish up her training. Hermana Orani is amazing. She was actually programmed to be in my group in the CCM but her visa hadn't come so she came in the following weeks, and now we are companions :) She reminds me a lot of Liza. The other Hna Schmidt hahaha pretty shy and quiet on the outside but when its just the two of us she can get a little crazy. This week we have really tried to mix up the way we teach, study and contact. I had found myself getting into a routine of things and we decided we were going to push ourselves harder and get fancy with the spices. You can find a gringa and a Filipena in the streets of Mollendo knocking on doors, yelling TAO PO- or knock knock in Tagalog. hahaha And we saw miracles. Here in the mission I have seen the power of moving ourselves out of our comfort zones- sometimes the Lord helps us out and gives us challenges, and sometimes we have to take the initative. It is always a fight for faith. We must constantly be challenging ourselves-We cannot expect to change, improve or have better results tomorrow if we do not change something today. Our Heavenly Father has high expectations for us, but we cannot achieve them sitting in a lawn chair. By sacrificing, pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones, and doing that which is the most difficult, we demonstrate our faith and the Lord provides the miracles. But AFTER the trial of our faith. I hope you all ask yourselves what you can do TODAY to grow in faith. What you can do differently. And you will see miracles. Because of Him. I love the Lord and His Work! Love you all!
