Hey!

This week Ive felt like a chicken with its head cut off, but in the best possible way. hahaha Monday we arrived in Arequipa and every day since we've had meetings all over the town. On Tuesday we went to the police station to look for a map, but the crazy thing about Peru is that even the police stations don't have detailed maps, you just have to ask the old lady in the corner store. They sent us off offering any sort of support they could give, even offering to drive u in their police cars haha. Big no, but although they couldn't help us with a map, the Lord always provides and the next day we found the  detailed map that we needed in an old store in I don't exactly know where. haha The ward here is great! Many of the sisters volunteered to come with us to appointments and show us around. Our area is huge! But I love it- our upper limit is the mountain Chachani and our East limit is valley with a beautiful river fields....No complaints :) We live with the Stake president and his family, they are hilarious and are constantly cracking jokes about the savages in Idaho with their potatoes. Pres Sandoval likes to read a lot, and somewhere picked up a book about native Americans in Idaho and scalping. haha

This week there was a huge rainstorm! Hna Perez and I thoroughly enjoyed running through the storms :) Later as we were talking with a brother we teach, he said he didn't really like the rain, but it was important to the earth could be clean. And instantly the words of the primary song came to mind "I like to look for rainbows"you know the words. And how many times in life we are hit with unexpected storms, wind, pouring rain. But these experiences provide needed opportunities to "clean up" a few things in our lives. After rain the earth is clean, there is noted growth in the trees, plants... and it ends with a better view. Cant expand more on that got to go but it always smells better with a lil rain>>! hahaha love you all!
