The Quiltmaker's GIft
So sorry for those of you still reading these email, today is a short one. But things here in Tacna are so good! I will just leave my simple testimony that God is so good! The more I have been in the mission, the more I have seen that we can NEVER give more than the Lord. Put it to the test. The more we give, the more the Lord blesses us. Its silly. We cannot even try to keep up with the Lord. One of my favorite books growing up was the Quiltmaker's Gift- the story of a greedy king who want presents from every citizen in his kingdom. H ewas never happy with what he had. Until he made a humble quiltmaker, who refused to give him a quilt... and told him to give all that he had away... and with every gift he gave, she would sew a patch. And after days of frustration with this old quiltmaker... he traveled through his kingdom giving it all away. And with every gift the quiltmaker sewed his beautiful quilt.. and when he finally arrived at her house he declared he was the happiest man. And I feel with every person I meet, all the experiences I have, the Lord is teaching me how to give. And patching together the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen. And I am the happiest. :) Love you all!
