Feliz Navidad!

It has been a crazy week here in Buenos Aires. We have many investigators with lots of potential, but with the Christmas season it has been difficult to have lesson with work, family reunions etc. but it was a great opportunity for finding. And finding people that had enough interest to let us teach them despite their crazy schedules. We had many powerful lessons with Hno Carlo and Hno Paul. I learn so much each time that we visit them and I know the spirit is not just teaching our investigators, but us as well. Many times Hna. Ericksen and I walk out of our lessons with them and say wow, those definitely weren't our words.

I am vey grateful fo the opportunity to read the BOM as a mission, I have loved going back and learning new things. What really impresed me this week was the many times Nefi included in his writings WHERE he communicated with the Lord- the mountains. Or in visions, he was carried away to high mountains, where he could see great and marvelous things. I loved the thought that my dad sent me the other week-  that it is amazing what we can learn when we are reverent. When we seek holy ways to study, meditate on the word of God and communicate with Him. Nefi made the trek all the way up the mountain to recieve this revelation and later returned to the tent of his father. As I pondered this, it becomes o much clear why we have time in the sacrament to sit and think, in this holy space. Why we have time to sit and meditate in the Celestial room in the temple. And why it is so important that we not only read, but take time to meditate the meaning and application in our lives.

I'd like to share a scripture that is so perfect for Christmas...

Chapter 11

Nephi sees the Spirit of the Lord and is shown in vision the tree of life—He sees the mother of the Son of God and learnof the condescension of God—He sees the baptism, ministry, and crucifixion of the Lamb oGod—He sees also the call anministry of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
16 And he said unto me: Knowesthou the condescensionof God?
17 And said unto him: know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, do not know thmeaning of all things.
I encourage you all to read this chapter, so perfect for this Christmas season, and ponder the angel's question,
 Knowest thou the condescensioof God?

I am so very grateful for the life of Jesus Christ, and for this special time to testify of Him, and the love that He and God has fo each one of us! Love you all! FELIZ NAVIDAD!
