Carlos is baptized!

HOLA!!! 

Thank you for all of the prayers on behalf of Hno. Paul and his father Hno. Carlos! Hno. Carlos was able to overcome some of the doubts that he had and now is rock solid. It is truly incredible to see the faith these people have. Hno. Carlos has been on bedrest for 8 months due to an accident, but regardless of the fact that moving could cause his xondition to worsen, he decided to attend church, trsvel to the mission home for FHE, and BE BAPTIZED! Hno. Paul recived the preisthood last Sunday so he was able to baptize his father- and there are no words to describe the happiness of watching this son recite the baptsimal prayer with such sincerity and slowly lower the lawn chair that supported his paralyzed father into the water and raise him up again. SO MUCH HAPPY.

I am vey grateful fo the opportunity to reread the BOM as a mission, I have loved going back and learning new things. What really impresed me this week was the many times Nefi included in his writings WHERE he communicated with the Lord- the mountains. Or invisions, caried away to high mountains, where he could see geat and marvelous things. I loved what my dad sent me the other week- It is amazing what we can lean when we are reverent. When we seek holy ways to study, meditate on the word of God and communicate with Him. Nefi made the trek all the way up the mountain to recieve this revelation and later erutrned to the tent of his father. As I pondered this, it became o much cleare why we have time in th sacrament to sit in think, in this holy space. Why we take time to sit and meditate. And why it is o important that we not only read, but take time to meditate the meaning and aplication in our lives. When we compare the scriptures to our lives, the gospel takes more meaning, and we can see our Savior, and His role in our lives more clearly. We have greater perspective on the tops of mountains :) 

2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, when the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it.

3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

5 O house of Jacob, come ye and let us walk in the light of the Lord; yea, come, for ye have all gone astray, every one to his wicked ways.
