Hola from Arequipa!
Hola from Arequipa! This Ssaturday we recieved the call from our zone leaders and Hna Orani will be staying in Mollendo and I have been changed to Buenos Aires Arequipa. I took a bus out at 6:30 this morning and may have left my squashed, bleeding heart in the terminal. But I am excited to start working here in Arequipa! Thius morning I was able to run into Hna Howe!
had a an incredible final week in Alto Inclan. Yesterday President Johnson came to our district conference and gave a brief but powerful talk on miracles. What really hit me was his statement that Sometimes it is easy to believe others can recieve miracles in theirs lives, but do WE believe we can see miracles in our own lives? In Mormon 9:19 And if there were amiracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he bchangeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.
How often do we hear of miracles in the scriptures, conference talks, or in the lives of family members and friends and feel inspired yet when do we ask for miracles in our own lives. God does not change. He loves each of His children and HE WANTS TO BLESS US-How many times in the scriptures does it say ask and ye shall recieve? Do we belive that this promise applies to us? Applies to me, to you? I know that our loving Heavenly Father is a God of miracles. This week Hna Orani and I were fasting and praying that our investigators could make it to church- the conference that we had in centro. And they came. Hna Magaly and her 4 children worked all day Saturday, woke up early Sunday, and this mother walked with her children (ages 16,9,2, 11 months) to church. About and hour or hour and a half trip one way walking.
I am so grateful for all of the miracles that I have seen here on the mission, big and small and testify that if we ask in faith we can see miracles in OUR LIVES. If you need a miracles, get down on your knees and ask Him!
Love you all and hope you have a week of miracles!
