Golden Oldies

HEYYY!

I don't have a lot of time this week but I thought I would share a few funny experiences from the week. On Monday we had an FHE with all of our converts. It was one of my favorite experiences we have had on the mission so far. We each went around and shared our testimonies. And it was so beautiful to hear their powerful testimonies and how the gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed their lives. It really is the way to true peace and happiness in this life! IT IS SO GOOD AND SO TRUE.  And then we finished the night with a good old round of oink piggy oink and I ended up beating 97-year-old Eliborio with a Restoration pamphlet wondering why in the world the piggy wouldn't oink (he's almost deaf) I almost died laughing. It was a good night full of laughs and tears. 

Later during the week, we visited Ruth, an old investigator who struggles with depression. She was speaking about some of the trials she is going through- problem with her toenail so she took off her shoe and showed us. And I took off my shoe and showed her the gnarly bruise I had and said, look we re twins! And then she started beating me with a pillow. Apparently what I said in Spanish came off super sarcastic and slightly offensive. bahahaha but it ended well and that woman has a special place in my heart. 

I know that this is the work of the Lord. That He works in mysterious ways and that He loves each one of His children!
