Week 4- We're Half Way There --Livin on a Prayer

HOLA!!!

 It has been yet another incredible week here at the CCM! The sun came out, we had some of our first blue skies, and the ketchup here is starting to taste normal :) Unfortunately all of the missionaries except the 8 of us in my district left today. So my heart was ripped out last night, but this is fine. haha, They are going to be powerful missionaries. Most of the missionaries are Latinos so I hear a lot of Spanish! And the language is coming! Though this week while beginning a lesson I had yet another hilarious experience as I explained that though we had weaknesses with the language, we knew that we were called of God and that the Holy Ghost was the true teacher. Though instead of saying language (idioma) I said tongue (lengua). Though we had weaknesses of the tongue... I proved my point haha! Despite our weaknesses of tongue, I know the Holy Ghost is the true messenger and can speak to the hearts of those we teach!

 One of my favorite devotionals we have watched so far was Elder Bednar's Good Girls and Good Boys talk. He talks about how one of the most commonly asked questions he receives while visiting missions is, "How can I know if it´s me or the Spirit?" and his answer is so simple and powerful. QUIT WORRYING ABOUT IT! Press forward with faith in Christ, be a good girl, be a good boy and the Lord will lead you! It was exactly what I needed to hear. I know that God is in the details of our lives, even more so than we can comprehend and if we are good girls and good boys, there is no need to worry. In the words of the prophet, it will all work out :)

 I am learning so much here at the CCM! I feel like God is continually dumping buckets of knowledge, strength, and spirit on my head. Muchos blessings on my head. I know that God is mindful of each one of us, every single one of His children. PRAYER=POWER. It is so humbling to see God answer each one of my simple prayers in broken Spanish! I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be here at the CCM! I know this is the Lord´s work! This is the TRUE CHURCH, LA IGLESIA DE JESUCRISTO DE LOS SANTOS DE LOS ULTIMOS DIAS!! His gospel is a gospel of happiness, peace, and truth! There is nothing like the peace and happiness the gospel brings! How lucky we are to have this truth! I love you all and hope you all know that God loves you! So don´t worry. Be happy. And be good girls and boys :)

Doing well! The companion thing has gotten mucho better! It is still a little rough but mi gemela pumped me up!! We got to go to the temple today which was amazing!!! Really there is nothing like the peace and happiness of the gospel. Satan tries to tell us otherwise but NAH. How are you??? I love the photos of Bryn!!

Dear Schmidt's, 

I was asked to play the piano for the CCM choir tonight, so of course, I found your beautiful daughter and gave her a hug! She said the closing prayer at the Devotional tonight (with special guest Bishop Waddell in attendance). Her Spanish is amazing!
