All is well in Mollendo!
HOLA!
It feels like yesterday that I wrote my first letter from Mollendo. This week has been busy, but busy in the best way. The members of the branch here are extremely supportive and helpful in the work. We live in an apartment inside a home of a member family. The mother Hma. Betty, is a nurse and she is the best, always introducing us to her patients and giving us referals. Mollendo is a tranquil city right on the coast and the view from our room overlooks the sea. Its fantastic. I love it. Our pensionista also is amazing. She does our laundry, cooks us delicious meals, answers questions and gives us referrals. Seriously so awesome. What a woman Both Hma. Betty and Hma. Jenny (Mama Jenny our pensionista) have active families and it is so fun to be a part of their lives. There are always kids running around the house, kittens being tossed around and a happy hum of home hehe. Also I am really grateful for my innate ability to take down huge amounts of food. Its been quite handy. Never seen so much rice in my entire life.

This week we have been doing a lot of contacting and finding. The people here are really receptive. And it has been such an adventure teaching lessons with real investigators but what an amazing adventure. My companion really is LO MAXIMO. She teaches very powerfully and with the Spirit and I am learning so much from her. Wow. She calls me her crazy little hija. We have had so much fun teaching, practicing together and On Friday, we most of our appointments had fallen through, and we were walking through the mercadillo, when a man came up to us and asked us if we were missionaries. We replied yes and he said "I am an investigatdor". WHAT. So we began talking with him, learned he had taken most of the lessons and wanted to learn more. We talked with him and set a date to be baptized on the 29th!!! So excited for him!!! I am running out of time, yet again. But all is well in Mollendo! Every day is a grand adventure and I am loving it!
Yesterday was my first Sunday in the field. It was amazing to see that the church is the same all over the world! The gospel of Jesus Christ never changes. Oh how lucky we are to have this knowledge! Love you all!
